Michelle Williams and Jason Segel touch down in LA

Stunning actress Michelle Williams looked every inch the protective mother when she was spotted carrying gorgeous daughter Matilda at LAX airport recently.

Joined by her handsome boyfriend Jason Segel, Williams cradled the six-year-old - whose father is late actor Heath Ledger - after a long journey, reports the Daily Mail. US funnyman Segel looked dishevelled following the flight and was sporting longer hair than usual, while the Brokeback Mountain actress was as chic and stylish as ever.

The sighting comes after rumours the actor proposed to Dawson's Creek star Williams at San Diego event Comic-Con, but the pair were quick to deny the reports to E! News.

Old romantic Segel was said to have spread the starlet's favourite flowers around their hotel room, while giving Matilda the responsibility of holding a bouquet with a note saying "Will you marry me?" hidden in the petals.

However, a source close to Williams told the news provider they have no plans to walk down the aisle just yet.
