Kristen Stewart 'issues public apology'

Stunning Twilight actress Kristen Steward has reportedly issued a public apology after photographs of her looking rather close to director Rupert Sanders were published.

The 22-year-old, who is dating gorgeous co-star Robert Pattinson, said she is "deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment" she has caused those closest to her, reports US publication People.

She added: "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob."

Sanders, who directed Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman, is also said to have apologised for his actions after being unfaithful to stunning British model Liberty Ross, with whom he has two young children.

After keeping their relationship under wraps for many years before going public, Stewart and heartthrob Pattinson appeared to have been more open about their romance recently.

They were last spotted looking happy and relaxed on a date night in Los Angeles last week after promoting their upcoming film Breaking Dawn part 2 at Comic-Con.
